Turn-based or real-time combat on a phone?
The eternal debate, but on mobile it's less about which is better and more about when you're playing. Turn-based combat is forgiving of interruptions. You can pause mid-fight, the bus stops, someone talks to you, and nothing punishes you for it.
Real-time combat asks for more attention and a steadier connection, but the payoff is momentum. When it clicks, dodging and comboing on a touchscreen feels great, though it's harder to design controls that don't cover half the screen with buttons.
My rule of thumb: if I'm playing in short, unpredictable chunks, I reach for turn-based. If I've got a solid half hour and want to feel skilled, real-time wins.
Neither is objectively better. Match the combat to your life, not the other way around.
